We are finally starting to accept orders for the MOZ540 FOR AMBERJACK series collaboration model, which pays homage to the AMBERJACK-exclusive model RANEGADE. When I met with Mr. Uehara, who heads Takami Technos, we decided that 2023-2024 would be the culmination of our long-standing relationship. We have various collaboration projects in the works. This is not just a rod that has been extended in length while retaining the lingering impression of the 520 series, which was well-received last time. It is a rod that boasts a maniacal balance and flavor that can be said to be the true essence of Takami Technos, which continues to pioneer genres that do not exist in the market. Amberjack has pursued the action that the Renegade filled the gap in, and has finished it at 5.4 feet, which is a little longer than average for a short type. Extreme situations that trouble expedition anglers. Extremely fast currents, extremely fast winds, Kuroshio Current, etc. Simply dropping heavy weights is physically demanding. There is no way to attack, and fishing tends to become monotonous. In such situations, short rods like the 520 or 540 become your savior. They are available in #2, #4, #6, and #8, and you can expect even greater power due to their shorter length. The specified jig weight range is designed for versatility; consider the core weight to be somewhere in the middle. This is just a reference weight, however. The rod you choose will depend on your preferred fishing style and approach. While a short solid carbon shaft might not appeal to everyone except hardcore anglers, it's an excellent weapon for targeting amberjack in the Tokara Islands and other remote islands. The #8 is easier to handle for those with less physical strength, especially for deep-sea jigging. For a slower presentation, you might have to accept the shorter length and instead focus on raising the lure and jigging. The grip is larger in diameter than the regular MOZ, similar to the Renegade, making it ideal for jigging with a high-torque reel. A welcome addition for Renegade users with a similar design! Since each rod is handcrafted and finished individually, it is expected to take approximately three months to be delivered to you.

The attached image shows an EVA grip, but all Amberjack presets use rubber cork, so there is no impact on the grip itself.
