We are finally accepting orders for the MOZ540 FOR AMBERJACK series, a collaborative model inspired by RENEGADE, an AMBERJACK exclusive model. During a meeting with Mr. Uehara, who presides over Takami Technos, we planned various collaboration projects with the aim of making 2023-24 "a year that culminates many years of our relationship."

This rod is not simply a slightly longer version of the popular 520 series, which ended successfully. It is a true masterpiece of Takami Technos, which continues to pioneer genres not found in the market, with "a maniacal balance and tuning." Amberjack has further pursued the blank space that the RENEGADE filled, creating a 5.4-foot short type that is slightly longer than typical.

■ Savior for Conquering Extreme Conditions

Extreme situations like fast currents, strong winds, and the Kuroshio current are difficult for expedition anglers. Simply dropping heavy jigs becomes physically demanding. Without alternative tactics, fishing tends to become monotonous. In such cases, short rods like the 520 and 540 become a savior.

While available in #2, #4, #6, and #8, you can consider them to have even greater power due to their shorter length. The specified jig weights are a versatile range. The core weight can be considered to be in the middle (this is only a reference weight). The appropriate number will vary depending on your preferred fishing style and approach. Solid carbon short shafts might not appeal to anglers other than enthusiasts, but they are the ultimate weapon for targeting amberjack in Tokara or remote islands. The #8 is easier to handle for deep-sea jigging, even for those with less physical strength, due to its shorter length.

■ For Control-Oriented Jigging

To fish slowly, you might need to give up on length and instead use the reel to raise the range and tempt fish in short increments. Similar to the RENEGADE, it has a larger diameter grip, making it ideal for jigging with powerful reels. For RENEGADE users, this model with a similar design is a welcome addition! Since each rod is handcrafted, delivery is expected to be approximately three months.
