This is a completely handmade product by Luciano, a skilled craftsman from the Marche region of Italy. Of course, it's a reliable professional-use specification designed for extreme fights with super-large bluefin tuna.
The attachment method is surprisingly smart. Simply slide it onto the center of the reel seat or the base of the butt of the rod, and it's set. The photo below shows an example of it actually attached to "Gouki's bluefin tuna prototype rod," with whom we have a close relationship. This is probably a cutting-edge and innovative item with few usage examples in the field in Japan, isn't it?
