To all anglers facing the harsh seas. This time, led by another special connection, we are able to introduce the ultimate gear targeting monster bluefin tuna!

Its name is "T-BURST 27cm 130g".
This big-size popper was developed by Captain Okada of the fishing vessel TRUST, which operates from Lake Hamana to Toyama, in collaboration with Bluenning Hearts, through extensive testing to reliably catch monster bluefin tuna. This is a limited pre-order until July 31st.

This is a hybrid lure adjusted for ultra-high buoyancy, recommended with large treble hooks like "Decoy" 10/0 or 8/0. It uses buoyant balsa wood as a core material and employs a special structure sandwiching it with high-density foam urethane. The wire, paint, and other settings for each part have been refined and strengthened to the extreme. What's surprising is the calculated weight balance that allows it to "fly" even with thick PE line #12. The vertical shake after landing pulls out monster-sized fish with strong predatory instincts from the deep sea.

We have received many inquiries regarding the Italian-made fish grip "PRATIKO", which is scheduled to arrive around July 31st to August 3rd. There are few air flights from Italy, and it is taking some time to secure space, but we appreciate your patience.

The Genkai Sea Expedition / Fierce Battle in the Genkai Sea

Now, for the fishing report. July 1st and 2nd.
Through a connection, we were able to fish with Captain Kawai and Chika-san of the "Fishing Vessel Miyabi" from Munakata Port, Fukuoka Prefecture. The members were Captain Yokoyama of "Fishing Vessel AFC" from Miyazaki, Su-chan, Sho, and myself, a total of four, challenging the Genkai Sea for bluefin tuna.

Again, this challenge was undertaken with the "all release premise" using the PRATIKO releaser. Su-chan and Captain Yokoyama readily agreed to this.

【Day 1: The brilliance of seasoned skill】

The sea on the first day showed us a wonderful drama, as if responding to the seasoned veterans. A monster estimated to be around 150kg exploded on "D-CLAW Beacon" released by Su-chan. After a breathtaking 25-minute fight, a successful release at the boat's edge was achieved with the Pratico.

Captain Yokoyama followed, skillfully using "Carpenter Utahime" to hook an estimated 130kg fish. After a relentless 35-minute fight that allowed for no compromise, he also successfully released it beautifully at the boat's edge. The boat was filled with joy at the refined fighting skills displayed by these top-tier anglers!

【Day 2: The regret of an auto-release and a profound lesson】

Then, on the second day, a powerful bite estimated to be around 150kg finally came to me. The rod bent to its limit, and the drag screamed. After an all-out battle where Su-chan and I took turns wearing ourselves out, I successfully brought the fish to the leader.

However, the real trial began there.
While struggling to attach the PRATIKO releaser to its mouth, I was caught off guard for a moment and counterattacked. At that precise moment when I was about to step down from the bow, the main PE line rubbed against the bottom of the boat, and the line tragically broke. It ended up being an unexpected "auto-release"... I am truly disappointed!

Afterward, when I sought advice from my seniors, I realized there were many things I needed to improve. Monster-sized bluefin tuna cannot be caught by an angler alone. I learned that a synchronized, "all for one" fight and cooperation with the captain are paramount.

Although it was a regrettable loss, it was an incredibly wonderful experience that words cannot express, and it was truly a valuable lesson. I can already picture myself being pulled around by monsters in this vast sea again in August (laughs).
