Hello. Around March, Takami Technos' CEO, Mr. Uehara, visited me in Miyazaki. We've been doing business together for about 15 years, and the MOZ series has become an iconic solid carbon jigging rod. We're truly humbled by the artisanal craftsmanship of each rod, handcrafted one by one in our Higashi-Osaka factory. We also appreciate his willingness to accommodate our challenging requests (which are easy to understand in words, but difficult to convey when trying to create a sample). At the time, I carried both the MOZ LM and HM rods, and provided feedback on the RENEGADE series, resulting in a truly successful product. Mr. Uehara is truly a rod craftsman. He's someone who can put words into words. The current Renegade series is over 10 years old, and despite his words, he suggested I make time to go fishing and transition to a new model, but I haven't been able to get started.
This time, the MOZ155 targets a cunning fish lurking in the southern waters. In recent years, large amberjack have been caught in large numbers. During the spring spawning season, one-pitch jerks are more common than slow fishing. Setting the hook is also a no-brainer style, with a single front rod for quick jerk action. It's a shorter rod than a slow-motion rod, but its specifications allow it to handle heavyweight jigs. Uehara built this 155 to the maximum specifications currently possible with solid carbon. It maintains a slightly slow taper while providing torque. The blanks are tuned with carbon fiber added to the outermost horizontal axis for increased breaking strength. Compared to standard solid carbon, they are more torsion-resistant and lift in the positive direction, providing a solid weight and feel when casting heavy jigs at high speeds. Uehara's collaboration with GOUKI has deepened his knowledge of bait blanks and glass solid blanks, and he also has considerable knowledge of glass materials. Feedback from unique models is perfectly reflected in the 155. The 155 is a must-have rod for anyone planning an expedition. Its tenacity and flexibility make it ideal for "trolling" lures. While it does have better bite than a regular high-pitch rod, please understand that it is not specifically designed for this purpose.
This time, we will be making a limited edition of 20 pieces, which will be carefully handcrafted in our workshop in Higashi-Osaka! Once we receive your order, we will begin production, so please note that it will take approximately 2 to 3 months for delivery. We will deliver them in the order in which they were ordered!
