New Encounters and a Maiden Voyage.
Kochi's Aura Fishing Charter Launches, and Lake Biwa Bass Fishing.
We bring you news of the establishment of the "Kochi Prefecture Fishing Charter Association," the launch of the state-of-the-art fishing charter "Aura," and a report on bass fishing in Lake Biwa after 20 years.
Hello everyone.
Last week, I traveled from Kochi Prefecture to Shiga and then to Nagano.
First, I attended the inauguration ceremony of the NPO "Kochi Prefecture Fishing Charter Association," which was initiated by Mr. Hirota, the head of SeaFloor Control. At the same time, I also participated in the celebration of the launch of the fishing charter "Aura" (Hiroshin Maru).
This association aims to unite fishing charters in Kochi Prefecture and widely promote the joy of fishing. Mr. Hirota, the representative director, delivered a speech conveying his vision... This might be the first time I've attended such a positive ceremony with such a great atmosphere.

And simultaneously, the fishing charter "Aura" was launched.
I haven't seen the actual vessel yet, but it's a super fishing charter equipped with the latest facilities for comfortable fishing. I plan to ride it soon, so I'll report the details then. Reservations for weekends are filling up quickly, so please plan your schedule soon.

The Lake Biwa Raid / Bass Fishing on Lake Biwa After 20 Years
After leaving Kochi, I went bass fishing on Lake Biwa the next day, for the first time in 20 years.
I was escorted by Mr. S, who runs a surf shop in Osaka and whom I met through our Labrador dogs.
SLOW LIFE OSAKA
Through Mr. S's connections, we were able to create the Poler tackle bag.
I was surprised at how fast the high-speed bass boat was, cruising at 100km/h.

Lately, if you catch anything on Lake Biwa, it's either 50up or 60up. I was talking about how I'd never caught a 50up while slowly retrieving a worm, when suddenly the line was pulled in. Mr. S told me to set the hook strongly!
Unfortunately, my hookset was too weak and it slipped off! He said there were only big ones at this spot...
The one that got away seemed to be huge... It was only about a 3-hour fishing trip, but bass fishing is so much fun. It's truly a man's dream to operate his own boat and fish.

Next week, I'm heading to Genkai-nada for bluefin tuna! This year, I want to catch one over 100kg...

Afterword: The Story behind Expedition / Connecting Bonds, Passion for the Field
This trip to Kochi and Shiga (Lake Biwa) was an extremely rich experience that went beyond mere courtesy visits or fishing trips, reaffirming "passionate connections between people."
The "Kochi Prefecture Fishing Charter Association," launched by Mr. Hirota, CEO of SeaFloor Control, is an extremely important step for the future of coastal sport fishing and regional tourism infrastructure. Beyond the overwhelmingly cutting-edge specifications of the launched "Aura (Hiroshin Maru)," Mr. Hirota's straightforward message in his speech, "I want to convey the richness of Kochi's seas to as many anglers as possible, correctly and comfortably," strongly resonated with the path we, Amberjack, have chosen by focusing solely on our own website. We plan to return to the seas of Kochi soon to bring you another wonderful report.
The Untold Story of the "POLeR Collaboration Tackle Bag" Forged by Our Dogs
And then, the next day, Lake Biwa. My encounter with Mr. S of "SLOW LIFE OSAKA," a surf shop that enjoys immense popularity in Osaka, actually began through a miraculous connection forged by my Labrador, Silas.
As fellow dog owners, our friendship deepened, and Mr. S's refined aesthetic eye for outdoor pursuits, coupled with his strong connections to "POLeR," an American surf, skate, and camping brand, led to the creation of that special collaboration tackle bag. Its sand-beige camouflage design transcends the boundaries of fishing gear, blending seamlessly into a lifestyle. Aboard the bass boat speeding at 100km/h, I was once again reminded firsthand of the "man's dream" embodied by this gear. With the regret of the big one that got away, my motivation for the next big stage is at its peak.
With the innovative launch in Kochi and the intense session at Lake Biwa, I'm now filled with inspiration as I head to Genkai-nada next week for bluefin tuna casting. My goal is a giant over 100kg. I'll bring you real-time reports from the field here on our website, so stay tuned!
