Handling history
For the past three years, I've been under the care of Zenac tester Makoto Kinoshita, who has taught me the basics of monster tuna fishing. I've been fishing at Miyabi in the Genkai Sea during the summer fishing season. As a novice, I started by casting plugs. I also went to Takamaru in Tsushima for yellowtail casting, and have become completely immersed in casting. I'm ashamed to say that 20 years ago, I was obsessed with casting for mahi-mahi and GT for about two years, but I haven't cast a single line since. The world of casting is truly like sport fishing, where you face off against monsters with both physical and mental flexibility. I believe we live in a wonderful era, where we can experience this tension in Japan. After experiencing that violent power, perhaps it was an adrenaline rush, but I became hooked on bluefin tuna, despite my age. This season, I've switched to tackle specifically for monsters. Of course, it's Zenac's Monster Buster TC77, which Kinoshita was deeply involved in developing as a monster spec. This is a wonderful rod that combines both castability and power. I have had the opportunity to use a variety of rods from other brands, including those from more experienced anglers, but Zenac's rods, which are specially designed and refined, are undeniably perfect. If you are looking to purchase a rod with monster fishing in mind, you can't go wrong with the TC77 or TC80. Thank you very much.

Newly released model

Tobizo TC80 TUNA - MONSTER BUSTER - DBL

Length: 8'0” / Lure Max 60~160g / Lure Best 70~140g / PE 8~12

Price: ¥120,000 (excluding tax)

This monster rod, worthy of its name "Monster Buster," boasts enough lifting power to overwhelm tuna weighing over 200kg. However, its true value lies in its castability and maneuverability with lightweight lures. It can accurately cast 70g-class lures far away, something that conventional tuna rods simply couldn't handle. This unprecedented power rod maximizes the performance of lightweight lures, something that previously had to be sacrificed in exchange for power. By expanding the lower limit of the lure range, you'll have more options for your approach and a much higher chance of a hit. It 's also compatible with the large jig head styles popular in overseas bluefin tuna fishing. Even during the fight, the monster blank generates enough repulsive force to bend the blank, delivering impressive lifting power. The DBL Power Booster combines lightweight lures with ultra-powerful lures. This is a new weapon for conquering previously unconquerable situations and achieving your dreams.
