RENEGADE = Betray
We named it with the desire to create a rod that would betray expectations in a good way, exceeding them. Amberjack strives to use all rods we handle in the field and provide neutral impressions. During this process, I met Mr. Uehara, the builder at Takami Technos, extensively used all MOZ series models, and fell in love with solid carbon rods.
For the Renegade, based on MOZ's LM (Low Modulus), we've brought out the "AJ store manager's favorite action" with more power in the butt section than regular LM, incorporating HM elements. It is a rod with a completely new taper specifically designed for MOZ LM blanks, improving operability and not breaking even when bent hard.
To improve the sensitivity, a weak point of solid rods, [Daiwa AGS carbon guides] are used for the two guides at the butt. Furthermore, the grip employs a thick [large-diameter cork rubber grip], making it slip-resistant even when wet and improving durability. The color scheme is based on combat gray with red accents. Each rod is carefully assembled, uncompromisingly HAND MADE IN OSAKA.
Mr. Uehara, the representative, and the store owner are still friends who go fishing and play together about four times a year. We discuss the next interesting product development with a focus on our current situations. It's not just business; pursuing themes that stimulate each other leads to good directions. Mr. Uehara, who has grown into an iconic brand, is synonymous with solid carbon rods in Japan. Thank you always.
