2026 AUTUMN RENEWAL
GENIO LUX
Designed specifically for Kingfish / Single hook tuned
In Autumn 2026, LUX becomes
a machine specialized for "Kingfish × Single Hook".
Renewed in Autumn 2026.
Specialized for kingfish, we have re-tuned the weighting specifically for the use of single hooks.
With priority given to increasing the catch rate and maximizing the action characteristics of the LUX, the internal weight position and weight distribution have been reviewed from scratch, resulting in completely new weight balance.
When switching from treble hooks to single hooks, the weight, water resistance, and hanging position of the hooks change significantly. Using single hooks with the previous balance could cause the start-up angle or the amplitude of the S-curve to deviate from the intended movement. The new LUX is designed to swim most beautifully when "equipped with single hooks from the start."
POINT: Please use this lure equipped with single hooks. If treble hooks are used, the lure may not perform at its designed posture or action.
Three things that changed with the renewal
01. Weight design for single hooks
We re-designed the weight position and weight distribution by taking the weight and resistance of single hooks into account. It settles into the target posture immediately upon hitting the water.
02. Improved catch rate
Even with a sharp, aggressive bite from a kingfish, the penetrating power of the single hook ensures a solid hook-up. It makes it easier to take control of the fight before the fish can dash into the reefs.
03. Maximizing the signature LUX action
From the S-curve surrounded by bubbles from a vertical posture to wobbling and side-to-side flashing on a long jerk. This balance allows the true nature of the LUX to shine when equipped with a single hook.

✦ Why use single hooks for Kingfish?
Kingfish are fish that dive into the reefs the moment they are hooked. Treble hooks can easily result in shallow hook-ups where the points are dispersed, leading to hook straightening or lost fish during intense surges.
Because single hooks concentrate force on a single point, they penetrate deeply and are less likely to come off during the fight. Furthermore, they are less likely to get tangled in the fish's body or the net, making landing and releasing smoother and safer.
That is why we rebuilt the LUX from the ground up to do its best work with single hooks.
✦ Stable S-curve that works for anyone
This is a pencil-type wood plug created to target large kingfish. With its exquisite balance, it handles the current well and appeals to targets with a stable action that anyone can use without error.
From its vertical posture after hitting the water, it swims while drawing a light S-curve line, covered in bubbles across its body. You can produce a variety of actions with rod work and line slack, such as wobbling on a long jerk or flat-side flashing. It produces explosive bites when it counts the most.
How to choose your size
By utilizing the three different sizes to match the bait, you can employ a versatile approach.
160F
SPRING / SMALL BAIT
For when the bait is small, such as the sardine pattern. The mainstay size for the spring kingfish season.
180F
AUTUMN / ALL ROUND
For the autumn mahi-mahi pattern or highly active kingfish. If you are unsure, start with this size.
200F
AUTUMN / BIG BAIT
When the bait is large or for prioritizing appeal to catch larger fish. A must-have for high-activity autumn kingfish.
✦ Quality unique to wood and limited production
Compared to foam urethane plugs from other companies, our weights are uniform and high-quality. Because of this, they are labor-intensive, meaning only a small quantity can be produced each year.

Pre-purchase Notes
The 2026 Autumn renewal models are designed with a weight balance based on the use of single hooks. Using treble hooks may result in an action other than that intended. As these are wood products, there are individual differences in grain and color.
