A rod that exceeds expectations in a good way. This is the sentiment we put into the name. Amberjack strives to use all the rods we handle in the field and provide impartial impressions. It was through this process that I met Mr. Uehara, the builder at Takami Technos, and became captivated by solid carbon rods after thoroughly using all models in the MOZ series.

For RENEGADE, we asked him to create "AJ Store Manager's favorite action" based on MOZ LM (Low Modulus), but with more power in the butt section than regular LM, incorporating elements of HM. It is a rod that is specifically designed with a completely new taper for the MOZ LM blank, improving operability and preventing breakage even when bent significantly.

To improve sensitivity, a weak point of solid rods, we adopted [Daiwa's AGS carbon guides] for the two guides on the butt side. Furthermore, the grip features a thick [large diameter cork rubber grip], which is non-slip even when wet and also improves durability. The color scheme is based on combat gray with red accents. Mr. Uehara, the representative, and the store owner are still friends who go fishing or hang out about four times a year. We discuss the next interesting product development, focusing on our current interests. It's not just a business; by pursuing themes that stimulate each other, we determine the best direction.
