What is HUDDLE?
HUDDLE refers to the short strategy meetings players have on the field during an American football game. When an angler selects a lure on the field, it is also a HUDDLE between the angler and the lure. This handmade lure brand was born from the desire to create lures that are at the center of such HUDDLEs.
Mainly focusing on topwater lures for rockshore bluefin tuna made from wood, each lure is completely handmade. The testing grounds are rockshores all over Japan. Testing is repeatedly conducted with the aim of "catching fish" in the rockshore, where the harshness is on a different level than offshore, and they are created through extensive fishing in the field, not just theoretical concepts.

The Birth Story of MONTANA 250
Captain Kikuchi of Hakodate Steel was captivated by the Montana, originally developed for amberjacks, and started using it for bluefin tuna casting. It demonstrated astonishing power for enticing and jumping strikes, leading to the words:

The MONTANA 250 is a bluefin tuna-specific model created in response to Captain Kikuchi's request. Its voluminous body, 250mm long and approximately 140g, concentrates buoyancy and balance to handle large tuna hooks. This is the strongest and largest class of the Montana series, which has single-handedly attracted fish that wouldn't even glance at other plugs when baitfish were abundant.

Line Slack Method — Only one key point
01. Create Line Slack
The key to using it is one thing: "create a lot of line slack (release tension)." Moving it cleanly does not necessarily mean it will catch fish.
02. Bubble Swim Action
The slim silhouette and exquisite weight balance create a swimming action covered in bubbles. Start with short-pitch jerks.
03. Rising Slide
The "rising slide action" that occurs in a neutral state using line slack is the true essence of the Montana series.
